March 27-30, 2008 Laughlin River Stampede PRCA Rodeo Enjoy all seven traditional PRCA rodeo events - bill riding, bareback and saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, steer wrestling, team roping and cowgirl barrel racing - plus specialty acts, entertainment and vendors.

April, 12-13, 2008 Dodge Xtreme Bulls Ride Hard Tour Forty of the PRCA's top-ranked bull riders compete each day for $50,000 in prize money plus points toward earning a spot in the National Final Rodeo. Competitors include PRCA world champions Cody Hancock, BJ Schumacher and Dustin Elliot along with top contenders Jarrod Ford, Chance Smart, Steve Woolsey, Kanin Assay and 2007 Laughlin Xtreme Bulls champ Zach Oakes.

April 23-27, 2008 26th Annual Laughlin River Run The West's largest ride-in bike show brings hundreds of exhibits and vendors plus top-name entertainment, contests, pageants and charity fundraisers. Free attractions include the Harley Davidson Traveling Museum, test rides on new Harley Davidson motorcycles, Miss Hawaiian Tropics competition, tattoo contests, live entertainment. Event passes include Poker Run, Custom Bike Show, souvenir pin and bandana, merchandise drawing tickets. Raises funds for Boys & Girls Clubs of the Colorado River, Easter Seals Society, Susan G. June 14, 2008 Community Achievement Awards The communities of Laughlin, Nevada and Bullhead City, Arizona honor civic leaders who have improved the quality of life along the Colorado River in fourteen categories including the highly anticipated Youth Citizen of the Year Award. This is the area's premier black-tie dinner and ceremony honoring exceptional individuals and agencies throughout the Colorado River communities based on their local professional and personal community contributions. July 4, 2008 Rockets Over the River Traditionally, this is a 20-minute fireworks displays launched over the waters of the Colorado River. Among the most spectacular displays in the West, these fireworks are choreographed to music on a high-fidelity sound system and broadcast on area radio stations. Free to the public with best viewing at the Laughlin resorts and casinos. Where & When: Starting at 9 p.m., best viewing along the Colorado River south of the bridge.
