The Laughlin, Nevada Chamber of
Commerce is the voice for business and catalyst for creating a stronger
local economy.
Under the leadership of visionary
business professionals the Chamber diligently works to protect
and advocate on our members' behalf. The Chamber Board of Directors
is comprised of eighteen leaders guiding and strategically adjusting
the organization's Program of Work to focus on our four core functions:
1. To Create a Strong Local Economy; 2. To Promote the Community;
3. To Represent the Interest of Business with Government; 4. To
Provide Networking & Relationship Building opportunities.
To Create a Stronger Local Economy
The Chamber works to strengthen our local economy by building supportive
partnerships and relationships that enhance business. The Chamber
recognizes the importance of developing coalitions, working closely
with nearby chambers and economic development organizations to create
business expansion programs and retention services to strengthen
our regional economy.
We do this through the commitment

To Promote the Community
This core function may be the one the Chamber is best known for
because of our support and involvement in community-wide event
planning. In early 2006, Board of Directors voted to add a new
dimension to promoting the community. While Chamber staff is still
actively engaged in providing visitors with the vital information
they need to make their trip a success, emphasis is being placed
on relocation fulfillment - business and residential.
We do this through the commitment
of our volunteers working on
Supporting closely with the Laughlin Tourism Committee
Responding to visitors and relocater inquiries
To Represent the Interest
of Business with Government
The Chamber protects and advocates for our members through strong
relationships with local and state legislators. Over the next
year, the Chamber will develop a committee whose sole purpose
is to identify policy issues and recommend positions to the Board
of Directors on behalf of our members. Our goal is to watch your
back on issues like Workers Compensation, Healthcare and other
job killer anti-business legislation while you keep your business
running. The Chamber plays a key role in developing coalitions
and alliances on public policy issues that impact business.
We do this through the commitment
of our volunteers working on
Legislative Task Force(s)
Actively lobbying Legislators to vote pro-business &
Pushing through initiatives that are recognized as significant
to Laughlin's continued growth.
To Provide Networking and
Relationship Building Opportunities
The Chamber provides on-going opportunities for you to meet prospective
customers and clients while strengthening your existing business
relationships.
The Chamber provides effective
vehicle(s) to communicate the benefits of your services and/or
products to other members. The Chamber represents the business
community as the "voice of business" and therefore provides
access to the brightest and best business contacts. Between 150
and 300 business people gather at different member locations to
enjoy networking each month. Laughlin Chamber mixers are well
known for their quality and emphasis on getting and giving leads.
New members get special treatment and have the opportunity to
collect as many business cards as possible.
We do through the commitment
of our volunteers working on
Community Achievement Award recognition
Chefs' Food Fest on behalf of local not-for-profits
Networking activities at other Chamber events such as Training
Seminars/Workshops, etc.
